King & Miranda

The King & Miranda Design Studio is formed by two very important and prestigious designers who have been working together for more than three decades.

 

Perry A. King


Perry studied Industrial Design in England and settled in Italy as a consultant for Olivetti, where he worked on a wide range of products, among which are the Valentine typewriter and System 45. He is Professore Incaricato at the Polytechnical Institute of Milan, Fellow of the University of Central England, of the Glasgow School of Art and of the Royal Society of Arts. In 2004 he was granted the title of Visiting Professor of the London University of Arts.

 

Santiago Miranda


Miranda established himself in Milan in 1971 where he founded - with Perry, King - Miranda Associati in 1976, after having studied at the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos in Seville, his hometown. He is Professore Incaricato at the Polytechnical Institute of Milan and forms part of the Scientific Committee of the European Design Institute in Madrid and of the Scientific Committee of the Master in Design course at the University Pablo de Olavide in Seville. In 1989 he was awarded the National Design Award of Spain, and in 1995 the Design Award of Andalusia.
