design thinking

This Saturday, Ofita housed in its Madrid offices a new event to support the NGO Save The Children, organized by the firm Thinkers&Co. The challenge: to achieve greater involvement of youngsters in the cause of this NGO in benefit of refugee children.

During the conference, Thinkers&Co developed a session to generate business ideas which may provide value to this NGO. Discipline is based on applying the design process as a holistic approach to solve problems; and the capacity of mixing convergent and divergent thinking in iterative cycles for the development of ideas either expanding or reducing the flow of information depending on the needs of the moment.

“Today we have Hackday. We chose the challenge presented by Save The Children and through the design thinking methodology we tried to find business ideas to obtain donations from youngsters” explained Rafael Zaragoza from Thinkers&Co.

It was a public event where everyone had the possibility to discuss. After the intervention of each of the participants, the three best proposals were chosen as well a one finalist who thanks to the project will have the opportunity to help those most in need.

Today is a very important day for Save the Children because what we are doing is to analyse the new forms of relationship between youngsters and NGOs. Thanks to AFEX, Thinkers&Co and Ofita support we enjoyed a conference where different people helped us with their ideas and creativity to generate new business models and this way, help people most in need”, explained Clara Avila from Save the Children.
