55 professionals from the engineering area participated in the Large Engineering and Project Forum which took place on 21st May in Ofita’s showroom in Barcelona, organised by the Via Group. During the first round on “Project and Facility Management”, the participating companies explained the role of Project and Facility Management companies in the control of deadlines and cost savings. Jordi Segur, Chairman of AEDIP; Andres Espinosa, Manager of the Engineering Department at ISS FACILITY SERVICES; and Albert Pons, Managing Partner of TBA FACILITIES participated.
During the second round of speeches on “Raising the Building”, success cases in the construction and renovation of building projects were analysed from the perspective of Engineering Consultancies. Jordi Perez, Commercial Manager of PGI ENGINEERING; David Garcia, Director of BIS ARQUITECTES; and Ignacio Moro, Managing Partner of MORO OJEDA Y ASOCIADOS, participated.
During the last round of speeches on “Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Engineering” it was shown how, from the environmental consultancy agency and with collaboration from engineering consultancies, it is possible to obtain maximum energy efficiency in sustainable construction and certification projects. The speakers were Josep Maria Piguillem, Commercial Director of EFIENER ENGINYERIA; Francesc Bonveh, Founding Partner of ASOLBA ENGINYERIA & ARQUITECTURA; and Enric Ros, Managing Partner of ARCbcn-ENGINYERS CONSULTORS.
