Ofita has turned into the first Spanish company of the office furniture sector to obtain Level 2 LEVEL® sustainability certificate.

LEVEL® is the first European certificate covering all relevant aspects of product sustainability. It is based on the sustainability standard developed by the Fédération Européenne du Mobilier de Bureau (FEMB).

The European scheme of LEVEL® certificate considers that a product is sustainable from multiple perspectives and therefore does not only assess the features of the product but also that of the organization and installations where it is manufactured. It assesses criteria such as social responsibility of the company, its use of energy and the impact on the environment and human health.

Camilo Agromayor, CEO of the company explains that “LEVEL® certificate will give Ofita its leadership position in the sector, ensuring its clients and collaborators that certified products fulfil the most demanding social and environmental standards of the industry”. “Also this certificate will support us in the most demanding European markets homogenizing the requirements necessary for sustainability”.

Therefore it is outstanding that Ofita is the first Spanish company attaining Level 2 of this certificate for several furniture products.

“It is impossible to look to the future without thinking on reducing to minimums our environmental print in all our products and processes. Therefore, our commitment with the environment is firm as it is corroborated by the different certificates that prove our sustainability: PEFC, LEVEL, Tecnalia Integrated Certificate, ISO 14001, ISO 14006, EPD…”, says Camilo Agromayor.
