Ofita’s Iroha chair has been awarded a prize at the IIDA’s 2011 Middle East Office Awards, given by the international interior design association IIDA coinciding with The Office Exhibition fair held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 17th to 19th May.

At the fair Ofita exhibited a selection of furniture for offices and shared spaces, among which is the award-winning chair. Designed by Isao Hosoe, the Iroha chair manages to seat the user adequately in an unconscious and automatic way. In Iroha, the armrests and the lumbar support are joined in a way that when the user adjusts the height of the armrests, the lumbar support is automatically moved to the correct position, essential for the good health of the users.

The company has also just returned from Milan where it has exhibited its products at the Salone Ufficio; it also takes part in other international fairs such as Design Prima (London) and Orgatec (Cologne).

The company is present in Europe, the Middle East, South America and the Caribbean, “we develop equipment projects for banking, insurance, telephone and automotive companies… and also for institutions such as ministries, embassies, commercial offices…”, explains Camilo Agromayor, general manager of Ofita.
