DESCRIPTION

The interior design studio Traço Magenta has designed the new headquarters of BIQ Health Solutions in Barcarena, Portugal. A truly individual workspace and a reflection of the company’s identity.

Starting with the search for inspiration, passing through the study of the space in order to optimize its use, Traço Magenta has designed an efficient and stimulating solution.

The new offices respond to the growth of BIQ Health Solutions, on its 25th anniversary, and project through the interior design the company’s commitment to people and nature.

The design of these offices puts people’s well-being at the center of the project. This premise is achieved through different parameters, from natural light to the choice of Ofita ergonomic furniture or the connection of the office with nature, the distinguishing feature of this headquarters.

Nature is present in every detail and area of the office, from the vertical plant walls to the wooden partitions, the palette of colors and finishes selected in the furniture or the commitment to biophilia with the incorporation of indoor plants, for example, integrated in the agora. Organic design is therefore applied through curved and soft shapes, natural materials and colors inspired by nature. Even the design of the Ofita desks themselves, in the shape of a clover, contributes to creating this organic office in its quest for a greater humanization of work spaces. The office furniture flees from straight and angular shapes, and opts for more curved, sinuous and organic shapes, which are visually much friendlier.

The impeccable aesthetic combination of these elements gives shape to a very pleasant and stimulating environment. The office focuses on the comfort -physical, social and emotional- of people, but also on their functional needs and ways of working, and for this purpose it has different spaces for different uses: open space with 25 workstations; areas for co-creation and sharing, with bleachers and mobile elements, auditorium; closed meeting rooms, office and office, among others. The Luz operative chair deserves special mention, both for the way it blends in with the environment thanks to its finishes -white and green- and for its ergonomic features that take care of the user’s postural health. Luz is an Ofita operative chair designed by the international firm Alegre Design.
