Sustainable boards
The wood contained in Ofita products is PEFC certified, which guarantees that the wood used comes from forests managed according to sustainability criteria.
The boards comply with low formaldehyde emission classification standards, all of them being category E1.

Eco upholstery
65% of the upholstery used by Ofita is certified:
▪ OEKO-TEX100 or European Ecolabel.
▪ Indoor Advantage TM Gold Certified.
▪ Certificado Cradle to Cradle®.
We are also incorporating new fabrics, such as Quest made from recycled PET in collaboration with SEAQUAL INITIATIVE to combat marine plastic pollution.
Absence of VOCs in adhesives
no VOCs in adhesives The adhesives and glues present in Ofita’s products are PUR type glues and there is no presence of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in these products.
Plastics
The plastics used do not employ flame retardant treatments containing more than 0.1% by weight (w/w), or phthalates containing more than 0.1% by weight (w/w).
Recycled steel and aluminium
20% of the steel used in the products is recycled, as well as 50% of the aluminium used.
Non-hazardous paints
All paints used are classified as NON-hazardous according to Regulation 1272/2008 (CLP).

Ofita annually calculates the consumption of resources or energy to its equivalence in CO2 emissions to the atmosphere, and annually sets targets to reduce these emissions.

Umbrella Zero is a surface treatment with virucidal and bactericidal properties, which destroys both Sars Cov2 (Covid) viruses and E. coli bacteria.
It creates a barrier effect on the material and suppresses proliferation (bacteria) and/or viral load (covid viruses).
Prevents contact transmission in the event of COVID outbreaks. It is permanent through proper surface maintenance.
It acts preventively against current and future epidemics of similar characteristics.
