The corporate office is the space where the brand lives. Today that so much is said about teleworking, the corporate office is more valuable than ever because it is the only space that reflects values and links people in a common project, and makes it functional, experiential and emotional.

Providing full and real flexibility to professionals so that they have the confidence to decide where to work will be key in the future, but this does not mean that the office will stop making sense. Rather, it simply changes its role and design.

The corporate office is the place where things happen; the meeting point for the staff and the co-creation space where ideas arise.

In the medium term, the work spaces will become a social corporate office, with common spaces to unite teams and be able to transmit the company’s culture, values and image. There is no better way to integrate and feel part of a team than by physically interacting with others in your work area.

What are the must of a corporate office?

The corporate office has its raison d’être to make people carry out their work in the most comfortable and efficient way possible. For this reason, its architecture and equipment take special care of factors such as colour, acoustic and thermal comfort, quality of air and light or ergonomics (chairs adapted to each person, elevating work tables…). All this, under the parameters of sustainability, inclusion and efficiency, which today are inalienable.

The corporate office is designed with its occupants in mind, taking into account their diversity and their needs for comfort, privacy and communication. And -today more than ever- to your preferences regarding labor flexibility and conciliation.

For the first time, companies have become aware of the relevant role of the office in their new wellness policies. That is why user-centered design is predominant today in the corporate office.

The new corporate office spaces

The corporate office has different spaces for workers and different activities. We talked about this in ofita’s latest e-book “3×4=12 the new formula for workspaces”.

In the new corporate offices there are fewer individual jobs and many more areas that foster social relationships, innovation and engagement with the organization.

Wellness room

For example, every day it is more common for corporate offices to have wellness rooms or a gym, for example.

The important thing is that each worker has the possibility to choose at any time in which space he wants to work, according to his specific needs.

The cited study differentiates between red, blue and orange areas. The first ones are the zones for the noisiest activities. These spaces are for meetings and collaboration, there would be 4: the plaza, the multifunctional room, the meeting rooms and the teamwork rooms.

Multifunctional room

The blue areas are for the most concentrated work: the workstations, the library, the cabins and the wellness room.

The reception,

The orange areas are 4 spaces that serve as transit between some activities and others: the reception, the park, the boulevard and the soft seating areas. They encourage more spontaneous collaboration.
